GrassStock 09 a Success!

We at WorldWideBluegrass want to THANK everyone who has been part of the most successful FUND RAISER yet! Even if we didn't achieve what we truely NEED to operate throughout the year, we did reach a larger sum than we reached last year! THANK YOU!!! Thank You to those who responded to the GS09 Surveys too! Alot has been gained and proper channels will be utilized to make each GS in the future better! If you would like to participate in the GS09 Survey please email onbg@sbcglobal.net for a copy.

GrassStock is on the move!

Due to scheduling conflicts with the Olde Tyme Fiddlers Convention in Galax, VA for the next 3-4 years and WorldWideBluegrass wanting to remain standard in the weekend of GrassStock, the management of WWB has decided we need to relocate! We are relocating because we now have a chance to grow effectively as well as economically... The steps that Ron Workman provided us will ALWAYS be remembered and APPRECIATED!!! Thank You to Les Sears too, for the basic vision of GrassStock he and Ron had three years ago. Demographics have shown that the Cincinnati/Louisville/Lexington area is a hot bed of bluegrass and the second weekend is the best choice for a festival to be non competive and would work great with other venues in the region! We are excited for this chance to grow! We are currently seeking a QUALITY venue that will accommodate growth, comfort for our guests as well as putting on an event that will be remembered for quite a while! If one knows of a venue in the Lexington/Louisville/Cincinnati area, feel free to contact the Executive Committee... Site inspections are currently being done and a venue will be chosen very soon!

GrassStock 2010 Executive Committee

We want to wish a very heartfelt THANK YOU to Linda Wright and Sammie Farnsworth for their gracious acceptance of positions within the GrassStock 2010 Executive Committee!!! Linda is our new Marketing Chairperson and I feel that she is a MOST qualified candidate and choice for this very important position! Tamara Becknell did the job very well for us this past year and is Chairing the Fund Raising Chair this coming year! Sammie is continuing River Powell's very successful GrassKids Program and I also feel that she is a very highly qualified choice for this very important position! Getting the word out effectively and providing fun for the kids that attend our event is of utmost importance! We also want to take the opportunity to welcome Gracie, Vicki, Tamara, and Tim back to the Committee! They have been top notch performers in our organization (the WWB and GrassStock!) and I'm sure that we will have the best year yet again as we create GrassStock 2010! Thank You again from the depths of our hearts for your acceptance's of these important positions! We're excited and hope you are excited too!
